This group is dedicated to promoting positive atheism and to dispelling the negative connotations that the atheism label brings with it. We want to promote the separation of church and state and raise awareness to legislation that disrupts this notion. We want to have a wide variety of events and meet regularly, even if just to hang out with like-minded, good-hearted people. We are completely open to any suggestions regarding the group.

We are a diverse group of atheists, agnostics, and other rational thinkers that wish to embrace this diversity and promote freethought to the CSRA, as well as inviting anyone who expresses interest to take part! This group is inclusive of anyone who shares the beliefs of Humanism or Freethought.  Freethought is a philosophical viewpoint that holds that opinions should be formed on the basis of science, logic, and reason, and should not be influenced by authority, tradition, or any dogma.  Humanism believes in the prmacy of human, rather than divine or supernatual matters.
