We are a satellite group of the United Coalition of Reason. We are comprised of Forsyth Area Critical Thinkers (FACT), Greensboro Atheist Organization (GAO), and UNCG Atheists, Agnostics & Skeptics. This group is inclusive of anyone who shares the beliefs of Humanism or Freethought.  Freethought is a philosophical viewpoint that holds that opinions should be formed on the basis of science, logic, and reason, and should not be influenced by authority, tradition, or any dogma.  Humanism believes in the prmacy of human, rather than divine or supernatual matters. It is often difficult to find other atheists in the south. The purpose of this group is to bring atheists together and build a community of like-minded people for support, education and fun. All atheists, 18 and older, are welcome! If you are under 18, you may join the group if a parent is a member of the group.

This group will support, foster, and nurture parents and children in Alamance County (and surrounding areas) who are not religious (agnostic, atheist, humanist, etc...). Our aim is to introduce free-thinkers to other free-thinkers, in the hopes their children will find comfort and support in having like-minded friends.  We encourage compassion, respect, kindness, and civility in all interactions and with persons of any and every background or affiliation.
