This group is devoted to road cyclists of the freethinking persuasion: atheists, skeptics, nonbelievers, rationalists, etc. We ride out at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday from the Oak Mountain State Park park office parking lot (thatsalottaparks). For those interested, we'll reward ourselves with lunch (read: beer!) at On Tap at the Galleria. Road cyclists of all skill/experience levels are welcome, but please be forewarned that most of us are strictly noncompetitive (read: slow and lovin' it).
For those individuals and families looking for fellowship with other humanists, atheists, agnostics, etc. in Shelby County, Alabama. Monthly gatherings to discuss news, events, trials, and tribulations of being a non-theist or skeptic in the deep south. Also for those looking to get involved in local community activism in a friendly, non-religious setting.
A group for nonreligious moms in Birmingham and the surrounding areas to come together for socialization, support, friendship, discussion, and outings (with and without kids). It's an opportunity for you and your kids to make friends with other local secular moms and their kids. Moms with children of all ages, working or stay-at-home, mainstream or crunchy, are welcome. This Meetup group researches, studies, investigates and documents paranormal activity and/or phenomena. We visit parks, cemetaries, museums and other public locations. We welcome curious onlookers, skeptics, and anyone interested in meeting others with the same interests.
