Want to find language exchange partners? Come and join us! Our group is all about making new friends and having fun while learning about the Japanese and Canadian cultures and languages. “ Great way to meet fellow aficionados of Japanese language and culture. I understand some meetings have more emphasis on language practice while other meetings end up focusing on sharing stories. Either way it's great. Even so I was discussing with some members the possibility of doing a more academic spin-off group. It would be for the strict purpose of just practicing Japanese conversation. Nothing more. It doesn't necessarily have to be pairing ups of native Japanese & Canadians. Even practicing with another Canadian at the same level can work. As long as everyone adheres to a rule that English/French must be kept to a minimum. It wouldn't be in competition with the OJLM group, but rather a side project. But this is just talk at this point. I'd attend more OJLMeetups to see if something like this would be needed at all. ” |
