Bakersfield Area Skeptics Society January Meetup

Steven Gamboa, a professor of philosophy at California State University Bakersfield will make a presentation on the philosohpy of science. Dr. Gamboa received degrees from Clarement McKenna College, Universidad de Navarra, University Colleg Cork, and Claremont Graduate University. His research is focused on the intersection between thought, language, and reason. Areas of research interest include epistemology, philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, inductive logic and confirmation theory, and naturalized ethics. He also does research in early modern philosophy, particularly David Hume.

Following Dr. Gamboa's presentation, members will have an opportunity for discussion.

Also at this meeting, members will vote to approve bylaws and attend to other business related to becoming a formal organization!
