    •  "Darwin matters because evolution matters. Evolution matters because science matters. Science matters because it is the preeminent story of our age, an epic saga about who we are, where we came from and where we are going." Michael Shermer Ron Hughes gave a very informative presentation on this exact issue. Great speaker, great presentation, great person.
    •  I liked the subject on science education. I agreed with Ron Hughes opinions and thought he was informative. I think the meeting could have been better with more interaction and discussion. He said too much for the amount of time. I was thinking of asking a question after the meeting but he talks to long to answer a question. Maybe I am too impatient to be a scientist.
    •  Very interesting and informative, learned a few things I didn't know about the effects of "No Child Left Behind", particularly the prohibition against the teaching of science and social studies curricula if a school does not meet the standards. That's the problem with evangelicals in government.
