You can CLEARLY see it's all computer simulated! OK, jokes aside, I can't understand a thing from the radio transmissions, how did they manage a moon landing like that? |

I can still clearly remember watching the first steps as a kid and then going out on to the back porch and being able to see the moon at the same time. The original broadcast was poor quality, and so was our TV reception, so it was hard to make heads or tails of what was going on. I watched the documentary on it last night and still got goosebumps after all these years.
As for the radio transmissions I still don’t understand how employees at Safeway can understand their PA announcements!!! |

What sold me on the sureness of the moon landing was a book of Apollo mission photos. No desert ever looked like that on earth. Not to mention most of the conspiracy arguments are easily refuted.

Mythbuster's also did a decent show on busting the moonlanding conspiracy theories. Unfortunately, no matter how much proof you give there are always going to be people who will believe in conspiracy theories. I think it makes people feel more 'intelligent' because they are able to see through the deception that tricked hundreds of millions of people. They are amongst the chosen few who are savvy enough to see the 'truth'. |

Mythbuster's also did a decent show on busting the moonlanding conspiracy theories. That was an excellent episode. Eye candy for all the model builders out there for sure. With all the explosions it's easy to forget that Adam and Jamie are artists, first and foremost. I recently saw the movie Moon; my favorite part was all of the outdoor driving on the moon shots. I realized, with NASA and China planning trips to the moon in the fairly near future, that not only will I be able to see a moon landing in my lifetime (I was sort of afraid I wouldn't), it's likely that we'll all get to see high resolution images of the landing. I can't wait to see that! Edited by User 9,902,865 on Jul 21, 2009 8:17 AM |

I totally agree. Due to the need to keep their ratings high they have kind of gotten off track (ie Adam's desire to be an actor), but they are incredibly skilled artisans. I hope that if human's do return to the moon that everyone too young to have seen the first landing get the same rush as those of us who did. |
